A brief look at today’s Nike/NFL Uniform unveiling.

What do you make of it all?

Would you like a Seahawks-like change to your team’s uniform?

Are you impressed?  Or were they overhyped?

Michael Irvin lays motionless on the field at Veteran’s Stadium in Philadelphia after suffering a neck injury that would later force the Hall of Fame wideout to retire during the 1999 NFL season.
Recently, Irvin sounded off on his thoughts about the New Orleans Saints “bounty system” saying, “Since you were a baby you’ve understood never to harm another person physically, and on this tape he’s talking about taking out another players ACL.’ ‘I almost threw up when I heard it.’ ‘It pulled back any covers that I may have had for a coach.’ ‘If he is out of the league forever – forever – it would only be the right thing to do.’”
New rules have been imposed to decrease the amount of devastating injuries players may suffer over the course of their football career, but with bounty programs and other forms of cash incentives for injuring opposing players, it seems unlikely the NFL will be able to solve its problem without the use of heavy fines and suspensions.
